Snow-load figures are commonly expressed as force per unit area, not as a simple depth of snow. Snow can vary substantially in density, so converting a structural load figure into an assumed number of inches of snow without the manufacturer or engineer doing so can be misleading. We keep the published load in its original unit and preserve the stated conditions.
Why configuration matters
The relevant rating may depend on the exact pergola size, assembly, anchoring, roof position, or engineering package. What ‘not verified’ means
