Editorial policy.
Our publishing rules are designed to keep product research useful even when the underlying catalog, prices, and merchant relationships change.
Claims need evidence
Material product claims should be supported by the current evidence packet. We avoid converting marketing language into stronger technical claims and do not present a specification as independently tested unless we actually performed and documented that testing.
AI can assist; evidence still controls
Automation and AI can help normalize data, draft explanations, and identify inconsistencies. They are not allowed to invent missing product specifications, experiences, tests, prices, or source citations. Deterministic product data and documented sources remain the authority for published facts.
Commercial relationships
Affiliate availability and commission rates do not determine product rankings. Editorial pages may link to merchants when doing so is useful to the buyer, and eligible affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page markup and disclosed to users.
Corrections and updates
Products, manuals, prices, and merchant pages change. When we identify a material error or source conflict, the affected data should be corrected, downgraded, or removed from intentional indexing until it can be supported. Dates of verification are used to make freshness visible.
No scaled filler
We do not publish large numbers of near-duplicate pages simply to target search queries. A page should answer a distinct buyer question, expose useful product evidence, or provide a comparison that changes a decision. If we cannot add that value, the page should not be created.
